Susan Chandler is a Shin Shin Toitsu Aikido (aka Ki Aikido) and Mindful Movement instructor, corporate trainer, speaker, and radio talkshow host. She has been practicing and teaching Ki Aikido, along with applications in daily life, for more than 35 years.
In 1991, with a passion for taking the insights from aikido beyond the martial art realm, Susan founded Chandler Resources. That passion motivated Chandler Sensei to return to graduate school in 2001.
Her primary goal was to explore the latest brain science developments concerning the neural interconnectedness between movement, mind, and emotion – specifically as they relate to balance. She continues to follow and write about the developing body of knowledge of the integrative brain in relation to everyday experience.
Her unique approach also draws upon her experience as an athlete, musician, and teacher. Taken together, her multifaceted outlook—including the performing and martial arts, brain and social science, and everyday life insights—creates a rich and powerful learning experience.
Over the last 25 years, Chandler Sensei has led programs for a wide range of individuals and organizations, including hospitals, schools, Parkinson’s organizations, aerospace companies, government offices, telecommunication companies, non-profits, and small businesses.
Chandler Sensei is dojo-cho, founder, and Head Instructor of Denver Ki Aikido, a member of Rocky Mountain Ki Society (RMKS) affiliated dojos, as well as a Certified Shin Shin Toitsu Aikido Kai International instructor with more than 35 years teaching experience.
